Nathan Fergus is the Director of Operations for Summit Pacific Rehabilitation, LLC. Nathan received his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. Prior to helping start Summit Pacific Rehab, he managed operations in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California for the largest national contract therapy provider to skilled nursing facilities. Nathan is a Physical Therapist licensed by the States of Washington and Oregon, and is a member of the Washington State Board of Nursing Home Administrators. He also is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Physical Therapy Association of Washington State (PTWA), and the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care (NASL). A native "Pittsburgher," Nathan is an avid Steeler, Penguin, and Pirate fan. Nathan resides in Dupont, WA, with his wife, Melanie, and their two children - Kaley and Ryan.

Traci Trygg, OTR/L is the Regional Clinical Director in Eastern Washington and Oregon for Summit Pacific Rehabilitation, LLC. Traci received her Occupational Therapy degree from University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. She brings over 20 years of healthcare experience to Summit Pacific Rehabilitation and believes in managing rehabilitation across the continuum of care. Throughout her career, Traci's primary focus in occupational therapy has always been on providing extraordinary patient care and a hands-on approach to management. She is motivated by the desire to empower healthcare professionals and their patients with the joys and skills of disability prevention and health promotion. Aside from her professional involvement in rehabilitation, Traci enjoys reading and book collecting, sewing, arts & crafts, and staying active with her family, residing in Bothell, WA.

Jennifer Kurtz, M.S. CCC-SLP is the Regional Clinical Director in the Northern Washington facilities. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in
Communication Disorders and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Minot State University. Jennifer’s thirteen years of
healthcare experience in the Seattle area has focused exclusively on the rehabilitation needs of older adults. As a Speech Language
Pathologist, she has specialized in the treatment of patients with neurogenic communication disorders, swallow dysfunction and
tracheostomy/ ventilator dependence. As a manager, she values her rehab teams and seeks to provide the support they may need to achieve
positive outcomes and have fun! Jennifer is a long-standing member of the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association and is a strong
advocate for student programs and clinical mentorship. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys rock climbing and running with her therapy dog in
training, Johhny Cash.



Kelly M. Cooney, M.A. CCC-SLP is the Director of Outpatient Services for Summit Pacific Outpatient Services (SPOS). She earned a Bachelor’s
Degree in Communication Disorders and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from California State University, Chico. Kelly sees
herself as a clinician first, and her management outcomes have always been focused on a clinically rich environment where therapists are
encouraged to treat every patient, regardless of age, as if they were part of the family. Her management experience has included single site,
multi-site, multi-state,and consulting roles which have prepared her well to lead SPOS as it grows.
As a manager, she advocates for superior patient care, a supportive and positive work environment for staff, and cooperative partnership with
customers and employees.
Kelly is a long-standing member of the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association (ASHA), and the Washington Speech-Language-
Hearing Association (WSHA). She is a member of ASHA Special Interest Division 11: Administration and Supervision, and believes that student
programs and clinical mentorship of new and exisiting employees are key to ensuring a positive future for our rehabilitation professions.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, travel, and meeting new people.



Kristin Cutler-Covert, MA, CCC-SLP is the recruiter for Summit Pacific Rehabilitation. She earned a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Speech and
Hearing Sciences from Washington State University. Over the last 15 years Kristin’s career has primarily focused on working with the senior
population in skilled nursing, long-term care, and home health. She was a rehab director for 6 years and was given the opportunity to start
recruiting four years ago. Kristin says the joy in her job is talking with new people on a daily basis, “I love the fact that in my role I get to meet
new people everyday. I get to find out what is important to them in their personal and professional lives. I in turn get the opportunity to let
them know what a great company Summit Pacific Rehabilitation is, and if our company culture is what they are looking for in an employer.” In
her personal time Kristin enjoys her two dogs Buddy and Sadie, and following Cougar athletics (Go Cougs!).

Jack Heininger is the Director of Partnership Development. Jack received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University
in State College, PA. Jack‘s long term care experience is diverse. He has been successful as a social service director, business office manager,
staffing manager, and therapy program manager. This background gives him a strong foundation for facilitating partnerships to provide the
best possible care. Jack is a sports enthusiast originally from Philadelphia. He is loyal to the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, and the beloved Nittany
Lions. He lives in Everett, WA with his wife, Shannon, and daughter, Andi.


Kelly E. Emerson, MSPT, is the senior clinical coordinator for the Washington Facilities and the clinical coordinator at Park Rose Care Center in
Tacoma, WA. She earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI. Kelly has 7 years
experience as a physical therapist and has worked in a variety of clinical settings including outpatient, home health and currently skilled
nursing. She enjoys working with the older adult population and the interaction she has daily with professionals from other aspects of
rehabilitation and healthcare. In her role as Senior Clinical Coordinator, Kelly is able to share her broad knowledge base and provide clinical
support to the clinicians in the skilled nursing setting. Kelly assists in the development and maintenance of clinical programs in the
Washington facilities. In her free time Kelly enjoys running and spending time with her family.
Heather Larson is the Regional Clinical Director in-Training covering the state of Oregon. She is an Occupational Therapist who graduated from
Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR and has worked in skilled nursing for over 10 years. Heather has a strong rehab focus on our societal roles
and daily functions and the restoration of these for older adults. As an OT she believes in the importance of participation in meaningful
activities to achieve and maintain good health and quality of life. Heather is a member of the Occupational Therapy Association on Oregon
and has participated in planning the annual OT conference. She resides in Redmond, Oregon with her two boys and enjoys running, volleyball,
hiking and scuba diving.
